Yes I know the difference between the two

But my question is what would y'all do? I am in the market for new tires. I have narrowed it down to these tires do to price and looks. My Local shop had the best prices installed I found. Even better than online.

    Trail Grapplers-

    285/65/18- $1185.56
    295/70/18- $1198

    Terra Grapplers

    285/65/18- $1070
    295/70/18- $1070

So I do 90% driving on road and when I do, go off road it isn't too bad of stuff. The terra grapplers he said, & I've heard from other people can get 60k on mileage. But I would think just about even tire if you baby them you can do that. I have lifetime alignments at a local shop. So I would keep them aligned and also rotate them every oil change ~5,000 miles

I Don't NEED an M/T but for roughly $128 more I think I could justify a M/T for looks. I mean I have a aggressive A/T now with the Xtreme A/Ts. But the terra grapplers are sorta plain looking IMO

    What would you do?

Anybody hear anything about mileage from them?

Go with the trail grapes man. The terras look to much of a street tire. The trail heaps ride great and have a nice hum while driving

Hum, doesn't bother me, hell my exhaust isn't exactly quiet

I am curious about the life of the tires though. MDHawkin from F150 online says he has half tread or so and he's got 20k on his tires

If ya run alot of highway miles, i would stick with the Terras. I know once i wear my Federals out, i may go to Terras.

I do a lot of city driving, (15-60 mile round trips) because I have to go to our north campus for one Calculus class

I don't mind the look of the Terras, but can't deny the look of the Trail Grapplers

terra grapplers have a long life but are ugly IMO and they ROAR... they are the loudest a/t I have ever driven and they are even louder than my buckshots and louder than the trail grapplers... I hear the trail grapplers have a pretty good life span for a m/t. If it were me I would get the trail grapplers without thinking twice

My buddy had Terras on his 2500 Chevy, they were quiet. The swampers he has now are quiter then my Federals.

was the 2500 a diesel? if so you probably couldn't hear them over the engine.. my friend has them on his 07 f150 and they are loud as hell.. if he had an exhaust I probably wouldn't care but just the sound of the tires is annoying
