I can get some General Grabber 35s with like 5k miles and an alignment/balance on them by trading my AR(nothing fancy on it, all mil spec parts bought from PSA since my buddy works for them and I got deals on the items)... Only thing is I need to get the leveling kit on my truck to fit them and have the truck look right. The HBS leveling kit is like $80 and having it installed it will be about $200 but I'm wanting to try and do it myself... How hard would it to install the kit by myself? And do y'all think it's worth it?
yes on the hell bent steel, i love mine. installing it is easy, just unbolt a few suspension components, bolt the level kit on top, bolt everything up. should take about 2 hours
Are you a person that can work on his own shiat? If so,then yes, will be no problem at all.If not, have a shop do it for ya.I have done plenty of leveling kits ad is very easy if your a do it yourself type of person....
Very true,Nothing at all.Just make sure you have a good size pry bar on hand, cause you will need it....N if you attempt to do it yerself, and the angles don't look right, don't worry once you set her down, all will be fine.
I bought all the parts from Ammunition, Magazines, Rifle Parts, Bulk Ammo and Rifle Accessories - Palmetto State Armory and built it myself. All the parts are mil-spec. I think I paid like $600 total for everything I needed, tools included as well as 40 rounds of 5.56. My buddy got me some deals on the parts since he works for them. I guess I should have mentioned that I'm not supposed to really strain myself physically because of a health condition. My doctor really doesn't even want me lifting over 25 pounds. I don't think I would have any trouble putting it on, I'm just worried about straining myself more than I should. So knowing that, would y'all still say it should be pretty easy? I want to put it on myself or at least help put it on if it's a little more physical than what I should be doing.
It can be physical, yes. When i used my pry bar to push back in place the spring,oh ya it took allot of force to push her back.If your doc is limiting what you do,just have the shop do it IMO
Doc really doesn't want me straining myself but I work at FedEx's main hub so I do strain myself some but $200 is a lot of money... That's my only problem with letting the shop do it, and the fact that I want to actually do it instead of just paying people to do it for me. I might see if my cousins fiancee would help me put it on one weekend, he just did my other cousins H3's leveling kit but his was done with torsion keys.
