What is the correct way? I know it involves a level surface for the truck to be on and a plumb surface for the lights to be pointed towards... how far between the lamp and the wall? What else does it involve?

I believe it's 20 feet away on a flat surface. Hope it works for you.

Ok, thanks. I bought a HID kit, I want to make sure the lamps are aimed right especially, but I ordered it from DDM Tuning- apparently they have a VERY slow internet order turn-around time... so it may be awhile before I give this a shot
