Ok....things I have learned: Don't crank your torsion bars unless you want problems down the road, absolutely don't buy aftermarket torsion keys. My question, what constitutes a proper lift for a 97-03 F150? Are there rear lift springs for the 97-03 F150 or is blocks the only way to do the rear? Is there a way to do a full suspension without dropping a bank into it? Should I just give up on my line of questioning and just get a body lift and put a couple of turns on the torsion bar and get some small blocks for the rear?
my bros t bars are cranked all the way up and he dont have a problem......if i was you i would put a BL on it a lot easier..
you can crank the torsion bars and get add-a-leafs or blocks for the rear and that will give you about 2-3" of lift. don't do the after market keys. body lift is a good cheap way to lift your truck
Thanks agjake11....I was looking at the lift for the RoughCountry lift and it just has blocks...my rear leafs are starting to show their age and I don't know if I should get some lift springs or just replace with OEM and do AAL or blocks. Just looking at my options.
i have my tbars maxxed and my rear is stock , its only 1" lower than the front....... max yer tbars and throw a 3" body lift on it ..... a 3" BL gives u more lift than the 5" RCX
Mine has the RCX and I like it so far but the ride is rough, and just crank ur stock torsions up and do add a leaf if you dont wont alot of lift
i highly disagree that a 3'' body will give you more lift than a 5'' rcx. look at the newest pic screwgreen put up it is way higher than yours or mine with our 3'' bodys.
ur gona tell me that my truck ( 3'' body and tbars cranked to almost max on 35s ) is higher than screwgreens with 5'' rcx on 35s? i dont think so... youll get a full 6'' out of the rcx and its a good noticable difference higher than a 3'' body.
