Anybody whos got one, how/where did you mount yours? I picked one up today and I was planning on mounting it behind the grille But it wont fit unless I were to take the grille surround out, so Im looking for some other options first.

Mounted mine to the lower header support bracket in front of the AC condenser. Small 6 inch PA speaker but I added a Chardone "Add an Amp" to it. Have to keep the mic gain turned down or it gets feedback even with the windows rolled up. Though it's not as loud as a 100watt Whelen PA system it gets the job done.

I had one like Dylan's but it was just to large to fit behind the bumper, even pointed down it still collected water in heavy rains. I had a piece of screen wire, the soft kind like on a screened in porch, covering the opening of the speaker but still got water in it.

Those car alarm sirens make a good PA, just take the guts out, the siren circuit board and reconnect to a length of wire to inside at ya CB PA connection and an 1/8 inch audio plug. I must have soldiered a few thousand of those audio plugs working at the chassis upfitter in the 1990's.

mines screwed to the bottom side of the hood, has about the same loudness with the engine running as it does with it off and there's not much heat there either, after driving for a while and then touching it, it was warm but not hot
