heads, intake, headers, a aftermarket carb and a mild cam will put you over 300hp in a 351

mine has that minus a cam and it will stop every z71 ive lined it up against thats with a clutch a granny 1st and its under geared

Lol Its a truck, not your Mustang...

The motor is going to be left mostly stock for a while, I'm going dependability over power. The exhaust is going to get opened up :superhack: and I'm going to find a 4bbl for it and that will be plenty for now. An Edlebrock performer set of heads and intake plus some RV cams are the only motor mods I'm going to do.

Going to do lots more axle work first though. 4.56s with a spool in the back and detroit in the front :peace:

Yeah, I'm reading up on some 351w builds and 300hp at the wheels is pretty easy. I'm sure I'll want more later, but that's about what my 07 puts out lol

Seriously tho, alot of bronco guys stroke to a 408 then a twisted wedge heads or afr heads, forged pistons, nice lowend cam, and weiand stealth maybe should put you at 350-400ish?

Going from 3.55 to 4.56 gears will make it feel like I just added 100hp :birgits_tiredcoffee

Why do I need 400hp to drive trails?

are you sure its a 351w and not a 351M thats in the truck? not tryin to call you a dumba$$ it just that the 351w was kinda rare in a 82 the "m blocks" were much more common then do you have any motor pics?

if it is a m block then the 7.9-1 compression makes it ideal for twin turbos just sayin...
