Hahaha yea. Need to figure out this crank sensor issue. I'm sure whatever it is, it has to do with why the exhaust is smoking. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
Alright messed around with the truck for a bit today. Got myself some new hoses for the DPFE, they were pretty rough. I did have a P0401 code pop up today, EGR insufficient flow. I've had this pop up in the past a time or two. Tried replacing the DPFE and then the EGR, no luck. Still rough idle. Thought maybe one of the two was causing my issues. Hoping something was sucking. not the case, both parts are being returned, getting frustrated. I will say, I drove 2 miles without the CEL coming on. Once I got up to 35+ mph, that crank sensor code popped up.
No I have not. From what I've been reading, if the sensor inside the distributor was bad, the truck wouldn't even start. The truck starts and runs with a slight stumble at idle, runs fine when Im on the gas. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
That's what I want to do. I don't think I can rent a smoke testing unit out, that's how I remember doing it in school. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
