No flow on the EGR? Surprised that didn't trip a code on the delta pressure differential sensor. Galaxy S4 Cetane Powered Android
I had an EGR insufficient flow code pop up every now and then but it wasn't a main code. I also think he reused all of the factory gaskets for everything, the throttle body gasket was torn and the intake gasket didn't look that new and it wasn't held onto the intake with any sealant. Who the hell worked on this thing????? Haha
He told me he knew nothing about cars but he had a buddy who was working on it. I don't think his buddy knew anything either.
hahaha pure redneck! got everything put back together, factory injectors, new intake manifold gasket, throttle body gasket, EGR gasket and IAC gasket. cleaned everything pretty good too. truck starts up just fine, still getting a P0155 code (o2 heater circuit) and a P0385 (crankshaft position sensor B circuit) http://www.obd-codes.com/p0385 according to this link, if im getting a P0385 code, i have 2 sensors. 1 sensor is the right at the crank, which has been replaced and apparently the second one is inside the distributor. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t1826916-looking_location_crankshaft_sensor_96 any thoughts?
Hope it isn't in the wiring Say an intermittent connection at a terminal. Since Billy Bob mechanical has been working on it for the PO, who knows what they did to it to make it worse than it already was. Galaxy S4 Cetane Powered Android
I hope its just the PCM so I don't have to chase wires down. PCM is a quick fix. Not too expensive. Around $200.
Pulled the plugs today, figured it might be a good idea to check/change them since the guy had the wrong injectors in. Thought maybe a plug or two was fouled, found that all plugs were gapped wrong, +/-.06. guy said plugs were new too, didn't look like it, he also put some cheap autolite plugs in. New Motorcraft plugs were installed with proper gap of .44 Guy claimed wires were new, they don't look new and a couple have split boots. New set of Motorcraft wires are on the way. Checking the timing this weekend before I swap the PCM, still trying to clear this P0385 code.
