That's what I was thinking from the beginning.
    Still got a few questions..

    1. I want some upgrade in cams? What should I look for in a cam? Lobe size? Degree etc? Nothing huge but I want some more power.
    2. What kind of piston head should I use? Better off with dished pistons or flat top?
    3. I understand I will need .020 over pistons, but how will I adjust the length of the stroke so I don't have piston to valve clearance issues with resurfaced heads? Thicker gaskets? Dished pistons?

Before I can help answer some of that, what's your ultimate goal for the motor? N/a forced induction. Mild or wild?

    Definitely mild.

Very low chances of me actually supercharging it.

No more than like 4500 probably. Like I said, I'm not racing the thing, but if I'm rebuilding one, I might as well throw in some upgrades as well. I'd be satisfied with 300hp after a tune, but more Is better :D

When I got my trans back they used stock 1600-1800 TC I THINK. Not 100% on that but its not too high of a stall. I'd like to not have to get a new one but I will if I need to.

You'd have to go pretty mild to keep that converter. As far as cams if you're wanting a pretty mild motor You'll want probably around 500ish lift and not a huge amount of duration like 265ish or less also love separation for a lower rpm motor stick with 109* or less. Is there a specific set of cams you're looking at?

Haven't really shopped around for cams yet. Swapping TCs won't be a big deal and theyre only like 200-300 bucks and its not like I need to know right away this engine still has to get built.

I need to start with my bottom end though because that's what has to go in first.
