jesse, i think the 4.6 is louder without a muffler than the 5.4. my old truck had a 4.6 and no muffler and that sucker was loud. we just cut the muffler out of my buddies truck a few weeks ago with a 5.4 and it was not nearly as loud. my 5.4 is louder with glasspacks than his is with no muffler. 4.6 is loud without anything but cats, that for sure
I got a 5.4 with a bullet and I dont think its loud enough.. I actually love the sound when you get on it just wish I could get a deeper/louder idle.. I want to cut the rear cats off but theres no way I can do that with emissions
