open the vent fully. slip 2 fingers in the center vent hole (pervs keep your comments) and then just pull out. next, there are 4 tabs on the chrome trim keeping it and another piece (black plastic) adhered to the actual vent "cup". use needle nose pliers w/ some electric tape to prevent marking. Steps are taped off. haning w/ the honey dew for a few, then i'll be cleaning the chrome and then spraying the steps!
if it was just me, i would. but the fiance cant get the kid in the truck w/out settin the kid inside, herself climbing in, then grabbing the kid and puttin her in the seat, yadda yadda yadda lol. gotta go back on...
hot DAMN those steps look GOOOOOD! I just did 1 super light coat, barely dusting the chrome. the 2nd coat i sprayed light, evenly. nice slow spray, about 1-2"/second. All sprays are 7-9" away (approximately the length of the can). The final coat was sprayed about 3-4"/second, about 10" away. I went over it twice this way, so the final coat 3rd coat was really 3&4 light coat together. I am letting it bake right now for 1hr, then I'll hit it with the clear. Pics tomorrow when its light out again!
