ima find me a complete motor and just swap it out ...... i get a motor for around $1000 ...... its leanin more toward the timin chain tensioner bein bad ...... i can replace the motor same price as payin somebody to fix this one ...... plus i can get a motor with alot less miles

Im lovin the new title. LESS MILES FTW! plus you probably have a lot of good parts on that motor too.

 

my truck has 171k miles on it, but the motor only has 43k miles and the tranny has less than 100k.

 

i say find a 7.3 PS and drop that in!!! it'd be ODC

 

I dont know if itd fit! thats a big ass motor ha ha. Hed be better off doin a cummins swap. those are a bit smaller.

 

drop an older 5.9 in there would be ODC big time!!!!

 

Drop a motor out of one of these in!!!!

 

i can get a timin kit put in for $200 labor ...... the kit is $210 ...... ima do that
