Don't see one. I must have a Mexican Fusion. El Fusion! I don't recall seeing any with a decal on the rear quarter at the lot I bought mine from. we put a "build at the flat rock assembly plant with union pride" sticker on every driver side rear quarter glass, mustang and fusion. that's how you know its built here in the US.
Other than my fantasy 5.0 option I think the three available options are well suited for the Fusion. The 2.0 EB is as powerful as most V6 mid sized sedans in its class. Just out of curiosity, what options would you have liked to seen Ford offer? Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk
At least the 3.5 option. Its basically the size of the Taurus. Doesnt make sense to me. A 5.0 would be sexy. I've been in a few Fusions, the one my buddy had as a rental had no power at all.
If they offered a 3.5 for the Fusion it most likely would bite into the already struggling sales of the Taurus. They offer a 2.0 EB in a Taurus so if a 2.0 can pull that bloated whale of sedan you can imagine how peppy it is in a Fusion. Not sure if you've been in a new Taurus, but they're really wide and big now. I guess here's the thing, if you need that much power, just buy a Mustang. I mean it's a sedan, how many races are you gonna take it to? How many times are you gonna need neck snapping torque? I mean the ice cream you picked up at the grocery store isn't gonna melt if I don't have the extra 35-40hp a 3.5 would possibly offer... For the record, I completely smoked a new 5.0 F-150 yesterday. That included getting to the entrance ramp and entering the interstate. Not sure what was wrong with your buddy's rental, but my 2.5 scoots.
