Turns out I had a bad freeze plug. Shop got it all fixed and she tested fine. Picking it up in the morning. I was glad to have some good news after that debacle.
Lol I went there to have it tested. I could've replaced the .50 cent freeze plug but they went ahead and did it anyway so they could retest it and assure me that it was good.. If you happen to give a ****.... Haha
Put the head on and got it all buttoned up. Starter was bad, replaced that. Fired right up....and same problem still. I guess I'm just over my head on this one and can't seem to fix it. It'll be going to a shop to get fixed. Little bit frustrating but after a few thousand dollars to fix it I'll be happy.
So I have a diagnosis from the shop... Turns out, I had the head gaskets on the wrong heads and also flipped upside down. Who da thunk it?? Major faceplam. But at least it's not a bad block or something. Should have it back no later than next week. I'm gonna drop off my ARP studs tomorrow so it'll be studded.
i dont want to sound like a dick, but, how is that possible? were there no markings on the gaskets? and also, wouldnt some of the holes not line up? im curious since ive never done any head gasket work.
