I honestly thought the same thing dude. I guess I only checked a few of the ports for the coolant passges and not all of them. I actually remember putting them on opposite sides just to make sure but I guess not.

The guy I took it to is a ford brainiac though. I'm heading up there this morning and I will actually try to take a look at the difference and see what he's talking about.

I would have bought it about 2 years ago when I started this thing lol

I'm in too deep to start changing stuff now. After talking with him and seeing the difference it's clear where my issues were coming from.

Have to pick it up next week at the latest, take it to get the exhaust welded up, and then drive it finally!!

Here's my explanation of how I ****** up...

Here you see a pic of the head gaskets I stole from the interwebs. The right side (on the pic) is the side that goes towards the front of the block, but I had that side to the back of the block and on opposite sides. uploadfromtaptalk1437639775975.JPG

The head bolts still lined up though and bolted down probably due to them being symmetrical.

Haven't updated you guys like I should have.

Truck is running and driving. Had to wait for an online tune, then turns out my Livewire Got locked to my scab so had to send that in and unlock it. Another 2 weeks delay. Got the exhaust all done up. Got the cats cut out and threw a magnapack on there that a buddy gave me for cheap. Turns out, it's way too loud for me.

Should have my new muffler and tip come in today. I'll be getting them installed tomorrow.

Truck is throwing a code for cht sensor and the engine temp does not display on my gauges. Turns out I don't have that sensor plugged into my harness and I don't remember having an extra plug. Trying to research the problem with that and might have to just tear the intake off and see. Could be an issue since I used a 01 navi harness with an 03 or 04 engine.

Hmm, may have to go analog temp gauge
if you don't find the plug in for it.

I have my Livewire hooked up, but it goes up to 200 and then stays there. And then all of a sudden it will jump down to like 15 and just jump all over the place. Its very weird.

Ended up wiring a pigtail from the sensor straight into my PCM. I was nervous about it, but now I have no check engine light, no oil temp light, and my gauge works.

    I'm a happy camper.

Now to just get the exhaust redone next week and we'll be rocking.
