Coming home last night I got stomped by a newer Escalade... He was doing about 45 in a 55 so I pulled out to pass. He layed into it and totally pulled away from about 50 to 70. So I got back behind and followed to my turn. Looked up the specs and those new GM 6.2s produce 403 hp and 415 lb·ft, but the truck curb weight is about 7300lbs. (Bench Race Time) Since I'm starting at 300 hp and 365lb-ft and about 6200lbs wet. What kind of power could I make with all bolt on's, and no F/I? Intake - JLT Exhaust - Glasspack Tuner - Gryphon with custom 91 race tune. Gears - 4.10s with 31" tires With all this I would hope I'm around 330hp and 400lb-ft, does that sound right? How much would adding the following list help? E-Fans Long Tube Headers Cams I would like to hit 400hp without serious work (cams are as deep as I want to go)
Those Caddy's will scoot. My dad's old 2004 Sedan DeVille will get on dude. Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
Sounds like a dick move by him, to gun it when your trying to pass. I'd got in front of him and gave a nice break check.
I dont know about your new model, but mine came with 360 from the factory. to get 400+ I would need custom tunes, cams, rebuilt heads, efans would all help.
I know heads would help out a lot, but thats more work than I'm wanting. E fans - 5hp Longtubes - 20 Cams - 45 So another 70hp...plus what I got, should be close to 400.
