I have a 2000 f150 with the electronic switch 4x4. I turn switch & 4x4 light comes on but doesn't go into 4x4 and I cant hear any clicking noises anywhere. Sound like the front vacuum actuator? any help is appreciated!

Check the vacuum lines that go to the hub.

Mine on my 2000 F250 were dry and brittle.

And to make things better, Ford no longer sells them and if you find yourself with a broken one you'll get the pleasure of rigging something up yourself.
