so the wife and i were gonna go to the store.....go to turn the truck over....nothing....im like wtf you worked last night...go to try again.....just turns over.....so i reprogrammed the truck hopin 3rd times a charm.....wrong still just turned over.....so i read codes(when it didnt show a cel) but it said fuel relay circut fail....so i check the fuse...its fine....check all the fuses theyre good....so i unhook the battery....still nothing....got back in and noticed the damn mileage is goin up as the power in on....i must of sat for 4 miles hahahaha i was told of a relay by the fuel pump imma run and check it out ryte quick and jump back on to see what all my ford friends might think it could be.... thanks
mine did the same thing, i got under it and slightly tapped the starter with a hammer and it turned over, it was probly somethin completely different then what your haveing, but i wound up haveing to get a new starter
my mom's expedition has been acting up lately. It will start up fine, then you go somewhere and shut it up, come back and it won't start, it will turnover, but won't start. It doesn't do it all the time, it's just random times. So i'm assuming the fuel pump is starting to go.
Sometimes the pats system fails, it would happen to my brothers taurus. He would drive it somewhere then try and start it again and it would just crank over but not start. tried it an hour later and it would fire right up.
Check to make sure its getting fuel to fuel rail and make sure its getting spark. My truck did something one time and I had 2 press the gas to get it started.
My fuel pump went out a couple of months ago. The only warning sign it ever gave me was one time a month before it went out, it wouldn't start and I got out and banged on the fuel tank and she started right up. Are you hearing the fuel pump prime (buzz) when you turn the key over?
That's weird that you mentioned this. I had this happen to me recently with my explorer. I was stuck in a mall parking lot and it wouldn't start for me. Did everything that it did to your trucks but I ended up having to take mine to a body shop to get it fixed. It sucked! I need to find a man or a guy friend who can work on my truck when stuff like this happens. Lol
well i replaced the fuel pump cause i didnt hear it prime and now it screams(good thing) and now it starts and then shuts off...so im making progress...just need her to stay runnin so i can go to work tom.
k replaced fuel pump and fuel filter.....put it back to stock settings and walla she runs....so now i just gotta put the performance mode and have at it
