Did your generation of trucks come with a fuel pump driver module or no?I ask because what you described was happening to my truck and it turned out that my fuel pump driver module went.
came home today and double checked the fuel pump...i can hear it prime but idk if it works imma pull a line off and make sure its shootin fuel....also add'd another 2 gallons of fuel to the tank....im just scared my programmer didnt save the "Stock" tune and now my truck has no tune therefor wont crank.....
yeah the only other option I would know if its shooting fuel out. Is try to load another tune from the Edge
bought it from discount auto and i took the tune off the superchip but scary part is....it says erasing file when i put the performance tune on so idk if it saved the stock file or what cause i mean thats what happend to it last time it lost its tune or something...cause i put a new fuel pump in and filter and then tried to start it it tried so i put the stock settings back on and it fired right up
Depends on which pumps you're talking about. The Airtex pump and sending unit combos from Advance work great. Not to mention they come with a one year warranty.
Airtex pumps are iffy. I've got one and it lasted 2 months. I got another one under warranty and it lasted over a year until I sold the truck.
The one in my truck is the 2nd one I've used. One was in an Escort GT and it lasted over 4 years and as far as I know the rest of the car's life.
