Need Some Exhaust Help!

    hopefully Saturday, the boyfriend works and the parents will be out of town, so ill have no one harassing me :)


    wait wait hacksaw? arent i just taking a few screws/bolts off ?

    no. your original exhaust is more than likely welded on. you could bolt on the new system, but having a welded exhaust is always best. by bolting on your new system to your old system, it will require minor cutting (regardless of where you want the new stuff to line up) of the current exhaust system. no other way to get it off...

    yea, you'll need to hack off just before your factory muffler. before you do, measure along that pipe run the length it will take to get to the front of your passenger wheel. factor in the length of the muffler and the remainder is the amount of pipe you'll need. like i said, you can bolt on a new kit and it will work fine. but if you go that route, you'll want to eventually get it welded on fully.

    a Sawzall works best. make sure it has the metal bit in it of course. and it will go through like butter, in a bout 5 secs. just make sure you cut a straight cut. :)

    The Instructions (here) say nothing about cutting, so i assumed this much much easier. I can get everything welded once its installed my fathers friend welds.

    I was able unbolt the exhaust pipe right before the muffler. Might want to crawl under there an look. I can post a pic once I get out of class

    Once i got home today i was going to slide under there and take a look. I wont be home til 4:30 so if you can do it before then that would be awesome ! :D

    yea, the roush doesnt need to be cut. but your factory system may need to be

    i'll walk out and snap a pic real quick...
