Does anyone know how to take down the Overhead console? I finally have some time to replace the map lights with LEDs and can't figure out how to get it down. Another problem Ive got is the center console shifter indicator for which gear your in, does anyone know how to pull the console or shifter out to be able to move it to where it needs to be?
Don't know about your truck. My 03 had a couple screws in the garage clicker part and it just popped off. My sd has a cover with some clips and that pops off and there are a few screws to pull the "frame" off the ceiling. So if you can't find any screws maybe some firm but controlled tugging? If it didn't have the rail sateen, just map lights and a door to hold CDs or sun glasses it just pulls down. I start at the back and work to the front. J.Wal
The over head just pops down if I remember right. The console shifter part is easy. Pull the main tray and the the chrome shifter surround. Then you will see screws to take the whole thing loose /out. Then you can go from there.
