Ok the truck's drivin me crazy. Something in the driver's front corner, suspension wise, is sqeeking. It makes the noise on every bump. What could be the cause of this? Any ideas welcomed. Also the top half of my sway bar end link on the passenger side has disconnected itself, do i have to go buy a new end link or just a bolt to fix it?
just buy new end link bushings and bolts. it's a $20 and if it squeaks when you hit a bump it's most likely your balljoints going out. I had the same problem, every little bump it would squeak like crazy. Time to replace your uppers A arms and lower balljoints, make sure to get the ones with grease fittings on them.
does your truck look lower in the front? does it do it when you turn? if not then it isnt ball joints if its bumps only it its your shocks my rear shocks are annoying as hell
i hope you can work on trucks, cause a tire shop will rip you a new one to put ball joints on, parts are less then 70 bucks and if you can put them on your self, thats all you would have tied up in it, you would have to rent a ball joint puller
Easy to put on without special tool put ball joint in hole with nut on thread put bottle jack under it jack it up tell it's pushing on the bolt and wack the a arm with a hammer then jack it up lil more and wack some more and b4 u know it it's on
