So the other day I had a whole run around with my neutral safety switch... or so i thought. Turned out it was a splined press pin in my column that fell out, It holds the shift lever on track and all that, so basically the neutral safety switch was pulling the shifter down almost out of park and wasnt registering in the PCM as being in park so my truck wouldnt crank. Got that all figured out, but im still having a problem with my shift lever being free, meaning it will shift out of park, and into gear without the brake being pressed. could this be the safety switch as well? or am i going to be looking for something else? thanks guys.
