Ok, so one thing about these commercials that I find misleading (which prolly isnt a big deal) is the fact that they continually show the "NEW 2011 F150", boasting the 4 new engines (EcoBoost unavailable at this time still), is at the end, where the show the truck, w/ TOWING MIRRORS! You can't get Towing mirrors from the factory on ANY MODEL! XL, XLT, STX, Lariat Limited, NOTHING! Trust me, I have tried. anyways, thats my gripe about the truck (err commercial. can never gripe bout the truck).
From what I've read you can get tow mirrors on the "max tow package". I have read that other people have done this......
i've built every model online and I have never been able to get the towing mirrors to come up, even w/ selecting the Max Tow Package. I know when building 2009-2010 trucks, the MTP did up the mirrors to the towing ones, just havent been able to do it yet. And since i'm griping, NO 6.2L on a 6.5' SCrew?!?!?
I just did the build and price and it said the tow mirrors are available for XL/XLT/FX2/FX4 with the ecoboost engine.
i thought the ecoboost was a 2wd model only? Didnt think they were gonna release it in a 4x4. guess i'll have to start building again. where are you guys building at, forddirect.com?
ok, they updated FordDirect.com apparently cuz as of this weekend the Ecoboost wasn't an option. I will note this: the 5.0 in Fx4 states 1680 payload, 9400 towing, where as the Eco states 2080 payload, 11300 towing... guess I'll be gettin an EcoBoost lol. yup, thats the same place I am building Cowboy. guess they updated the site since the weekend.
yeah no problem i know they didn't have the ecoboost for a long time. I also noticed 4.10 gears straight from the factory as well.
yea, i just built a loaded out Fx4, Eco, 4.10 Electronic locker, moonroof, NO Nav (i know where i'm goin), cloth buckets, max tow.... 45,420 For that price, I can get the 2011 Gas SD loaded out... hmmm, gonna be a tough call when its time to get a new ride this year...
