I like working on my own stuff but it's usually learning at the same time. Paramedic in my day job, I'm decent at fixing people, cars is debatable. I'll be keeping an eye on the forums trying to play catch up on the curve :)

First problem is the back up camera keeps popping on for no reason?

Plans for 3/2 lift, led light bar stealth mount in the grill, Led floods left right an aft.

That's about as much as my wife will let me get away with lol.

Warn 12k in the garage looking for a new home if I can find the bumper ;)

Feel free to direct me to important threads or homework.

Look forward to **** chatting with you all!

My thoughts on the camera issue:

Is the camera normally set to only come on
when the vehicle is in reverse or does the driver have
the option to view at any time?

Whatever the trigger is for the camera to turn on
is being activated in error by an intermittent connection
    either electronically controlled switching
or mechanical connection i.e. the gear selector.

Electrical gremlins aren't easy to diagnose or trace to find the fault.

    Thank you thank you!

It's an oem camera and according to owners manual, only when the shifter is in reverse. Moving from reverse to drive there Is a designed delay to account for trailer acquisition and repositioning but then it's supposed to stay off when in forward motion. The mirror appears to be the brain and is set up with a menu button and I've turned all found options off.

It will flash, in upper left of screen, "V1" 2-3 times then a solid "M" then after a bit it turns off. Seems to happen at any speed with or without other objects in proximity.
