So some might recall me having to swap out one of my shocks because it not only broke, but split apart and i had driven like that for a bit. well i only replaced that one at the time. finally had enough of just one side shaking on me so i went to 4wp to get the part today, rather than wait for shipping from rockauto. phoned them, guy said he had it. turns out they didnt. so he wasted some of my time and started to walk out noticeably disgruntled. told him i'd order offline. he said, whats rockauto do them for. i said, iono. he said, i'll do them for $77 a piece. SOLD!

AND that includes him shipping them to my house TOMORROW, free. Thanks 4WP! and btw, my truck is 2WD but since I have an AAL, which raises the suspension about 1.5", i'm swapping into some 4WD RS9000xl's instead of the 2WD models. :chewie:

We have 3 stores in houston. Never been to the South houston store, but the 1960 Store is just like you describe yours: bunch of "know it all" pricks. I actually was at the Westheimer store (Houston #3) and have always had great experience with them. i mean, this guy yelled "$77 a shock" across the store to prevent me from walkin out, and paid for shipping. :waytogo:

Thanks everyone else. I'll get some pics this afternoon when I get them installed.

Also ordered a set of Monroe Struts (4wd version so I will still have the height that my QuickLift give, but half the price) and some UCA's. Trucks gonna be riding like a Caddy after all this! :chewie:

I just got dorman cuz I hope to get some Camburg by mid summer. Not having to buy parts for the wifes POS bonneville should allow me to get some things done to my truck.
