As several of you know I got a new truck recently, and it has a 6 inch Fabtech lift.
I haven't ever had a lift on my truck before, and I enjoy going off road and toying around (nothing crazy but a few mud trails)
So I'm curious is there any way that I need to clean it differently with the lift and all afterwards?
And as far as the engine goes, my old truck had several issues with mud getting into the engine, I was told that I should invest in some gap guards, and this truck doesn't look to have them, would that be something I need?

You only need gap gaurds on a body lift. Yours is all suspension lift. No late model engine of any brand handles water/ mud on the engine. Just clean it good as usual.

So there is nothing out there to put on it to prevent water or mud getting in there?

does it have a CAI? they make pre-filters to help keep water out.

No, I was planning on doin the gotts mod, and it's got a brand new filter in it, although I plan to switch it out for a k&n filter eventually.
    Would that affect it?

You should be fine with the gotts+ K&N and mudding. Its a long ways for water to come up the inside of the fender, then that 3ft of tube, through the filter, and into your MAF

I thought I had more trouble with getting too deep and it getting into the engine itself...
