i'll try to explain this the best i can. my first set of HID's were lo beam only so they weren't plug and play. In order for me to get them to work i had to cut off the factory headlight bulb connectors and hard wire the HID bulbs into the factory harness and of course never had Hi beams. Now with the Retrofit again i can't get the hi beams to work. the retro gets power from the passenger side then connects it to the drivers side. I did have to hard wire the passenger side into the Projector power box thing(not the ballast) and since it's all connected to the drivers side that leaves the driver side factory harness un touched. I figured if i can get that factory harness and tap into the projector harness my hi beams should work again? ??? projector harness has a white wire and a blue wire. factory harness has (blue w/ white tripe) (green w/ black stripe) and a black wire. i'm guessing black is ground of course. what about the other two?
first of all...your a moron for cutting the factory harness apart. you cut off both ends or just one?
I would try touching the wires from the projector to the battery and see which one causes the hi-beams to come on. I think the middle one in the factory harness is high beams... Check your drivers side with a volt meter also
I was thinkin the same thing. flip the high beams on and touch the wires together, if it lights up, connect it together. I believe there is a low-beam wire, a high beam wire and a ground. shouldnt be too hard to figure out.
Always on top of things....always. I have heard they have good customer service... Contact The Retrofit Source Inc
Electrical guru ^^^ I was gonna say you are **** outta luck and not offer advice just because you had the brains to cut your factory harness lol
It's the only way I could install my non plug and play hids guys.., I said that lol. Any idea what the white and blue wires are on the bulb harness? Adam do it yourself. It isn't hard lol
