I honestly don't know, its been awhile since I played with it I don't think I convert them but that might be it My mom has a newer version on her laptop that may be it too? haha
If you have an older gopro that doesn't record in HD then you don't need a converter, or if you use the newest version of Windows Live Movie Maker, then that reads the HD mp4s. However, regular Windows Movie Maker (which is no longer supported) cannon read HD mp4 files. And if you try to convert to .avi files, it only reads them as audio. I found one converter that will change mp4 to .wmv and that seems to work so far. That stupid Brorsoft converter that Nick listed works fine, but if you don't pay for the full version and only use the Trial, it puts a stupid watermark logo right in the middle of the footage...
yeah yeah.... I have that, I just like WMM better... I guess I should learn how to use it. Just made a shopping cart on Amazon. $230 for all the GoPro junk I want
First little gopro vid. Still working out the kinks, was supposed to be a 5min video set on looping, only took 30seconds...
Found a good converter. Converter Lite, at converterlite.com Has a ton of options on what you want to convert to. I'm using .wmv for movie maker. Tried GoPro studio again tonight, still don't like it. How do you edit different chunks of the same video? I want to slow down the middle 10 seconds of one clip, but not the whole thing
I don't thing you can I tried doing it before and found out they use a really expensive add in or another program to slow down and release their videos (commercials and stuff)
