Post up pics of your Intake

I ran Gotts+K&N for a while, then switched to this JLT. I've noticed drone at 3000rpm and more intake noise. Downside is more susceptible to mud/water when offroading.

I've been running an AirAid CAI for 6 years now and it's never given one problem. Still using same filter that I clean every 30K. Well spent 205.00 IMO. :birgits_tiredcoffee

I built my own. Drawing air through 3 seperate 4" ducts located outside the engine bay.

Well from the runs I did with my aFE before I temporarily had to take it off, with my truck back to stock there is a noticeable difference. Love it and can't wait to get it back on. :peace:

Best CAI I've seen :peace: What was the ambient temp in that last pic? My JLT runs about 10* warmer than outside going down the road.

Here's how the heat soak test I performed. Drove the truck for a total of 14 miles. First 10 were city the last 4 were highway. Pulled in the driveway and never shut her down. I grabbed my two hygrometers and placed them on the tailgate of my Dads Ranger parked in front of my truck for four minutes to obtain an accurate outside temp. Then I popped the hood and set them in place. One lying on top of the MAF as close to the box as possible and the other inside the box. I closed the hood and let her idle for 12 mins to get a worst case heat soak then popped the hood removed the airbox cover and the results were awesome. 51 degrees different. If I were to insulate the box and put a gasket on the lid it would probably be even better.
