I still havnt finished my intake yet. my PVC pipe still needs to be re worked to fit, it keeps falling out haha
Played with mine over the weekend. Started out as an attempt to use the new larger performance throttle body for the 2011-2014 Mustang GT. It will work but the TB will require calibration. So I stuck the 80mm BBK back on which will not flow the air I need and went forward with the 4" ducting. The ducting from the Whipple was also creating restriction at 12psi so it was due for a change. The throttle body will have to wait till I have a better reason to retune.
TTT I sold my JLT and am running a Gotts with K&N Filter and baffles removed. JLT was sucking up too much dust and water.
Anyone have any experience with the Airaid MIT? https://www.airaid.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=400-940 I figure its like doing the gotts mod and removing the baffles but everything will look nice and clean
Yeah i know, but i just dont really want to rig up something that looks cheap and ****ty when im done with it and I dont really wanna cut up my stock intake anyway.
Alright so I got the Airaid JR. Kit which came with the intake tube and the dry filter. First impression was good, the product seems well made and fits very well. When i first drove it i could definitely hear it sucking in more air and that sounded good. I did a few 0-60 tests and was very disappointed. On level 2 with the stock intake with a K&N oiled filter i was running around 6.8 seconds, with the Airaid setup i was running 7.9 seconds and I could definitely feel a difference, there was very little pull when it shifted into second gear and it just felt really slow. Im assuming its that way because it is running way too lean and not getting enough fuel, so I will drive it like this for a little bit and hopefully report back soon.
