Oil Gauge

ok so tonight i was on my bank from town and the oil light comes on so i pull over get out to make sure everythings ok and to check the oil. i checked the oil it was full and it looked clean to me...just changed the oil maybe 1k miles ago..truck's not makeing a noise that it didn't already make before so im guessing its the gauge, or pump which one do you guys think it might be..

 

Hook up a mechanical gauge to check oil pressure. If it shows ok, then its the oil pressure sending unit. If no oil pressure, then its the pump. What oil filter are you running?

If shes not making any noise, Id say its the sending unit. But make sure you check it out!!

 

im going to thanks man..its done it before and i changed the oil in it and it would stop then it came back tonight and i know i dont need no oil change..

 

Suoercrew02 moms truck did this also. I dont know what the outcome was. You might be able to pm him and ask.
