Previous owner used Motorcraft 5w-20 Full Synthetic.....

I was just wondering what others are using. Temps here in Utah avg for 0-100.

Last two trucks I had both used Mobil 1 0w-40 Full Synthetic. So the 5w-20 caught me a bit off guard. Looking for thoughts.

    Thanks
    Vj

I'll get a shot of the computer reccomendations at work but 5w20/5w30 sounds about right

No 10w-30 won't hurt but the oil cap tells you what should be in the motor....

the print on my oil cap has wore off over the past few years but mine had a milky substance on the inside of the cap and my stepdad saidto try thinner oil so I went to 5w-30 on my last oil change so we will see what happens
