    2001 F150 Supercrew cab - only 92K miles

Strongly considering trying to get it. My transmission feels like its on its last legs, and with my trucks hard life I can only imagine the engine will be next. I actually have a trip planned to pick up another tranny next weekend...

I have two complaints. First one-I prefer the 97-98 front bumper to the 99+ bumper. No big deal though.

BUT....I'm honestly not sure if I could get past the fact that its NOT a stepside. I love love LOVE the way my stepside looks. Love the big "hips", so to speak. I wanted a stepside for many years before I even got my truck.

Hate to lose another foot of much needed bed space too...

I would of course swap anything I could from my truck to the new one. Wheels/tires/red fx4 badges/sound system/headlight housings/blinkers and on and on...

Crew cab is nice though. And thats half the miles mines got.

Im gonna text the guy today.

I must say the 5.4 worries me. My friends 5.4 spat spark plugs left and right til he finally got rid of it.

The other thing I had been considering was keeping my truck and spending about 5k on a little car for gas mileage..and I have SOO much time and effort and money into my truck I would really hate to start all over again. If this one gave me a quarter the number of problems mine has + the truck payment I'd be screwed. And I've always said I would never sell my truck but...I would have to.

God I must sound like a little baby right now :jester:

One big problem I just thought of is I carry a sled in my truck a lot. That short bed would mean I would have 3 feet of sled sticking out past the tailgate..and that's with the tailgate down. It would probably get in the way of a trailer

Dude if you're worried about spitting plugs then I can mail you up my time sert kit, you'd just have to buy new inserts an you can do the whole motor in a weekend. It'll bullet proof the motor for sure. I spit a plug, time serted my engine an never any other problems
