Hey Gents (and Ladies too), Seems it's been a few days since anyone has posted anything here so I figured I'd spice things up a little and toss a few things I've been thinking of out there. 1. I eventually want to bump up to 37 inch tires, in order to do so I'll need to regear. I'm thinking 4.88s will work just fine but today I was thinking of also tossing a supercharger on as well. The supercharger won't be added until my existing factory warranty has expired. So, with that said do you think the 4.88s will be enough to compensate for the supercharger and 37 inch tires or should I move up to another gear? 2. Here lately I've also been thinking of installing a roof rack or possibly a light bar to put in the bed. What are your thoughts on these? I know of most of the after-market parts for our trucks however, I have yet to see any type of roof rack for them. Does anyone know of a maker? 3. OK this may seem a little outlandish but here goes. What I want to do is find a 2009+ F150 that has been recked and cut it in half between the bed and the cab. I would want to take the bed and create an off-road trailer/camper. My idea is to install a Leer cap, pad and carpet the inside of the bed, fabricate some type of air conditioner/heater, install a small fridge, and kinda make it into a camper type thing. Of course I'd like to lift it up so that it'll match my trucks height and have it painted to again match the color of my truck (if it isn't already). Basically just want your opinions on this one. Is it worth the time, effort, and money? What do you think? Alright so there it is, something to talk/chat about!
4.88s are the biggest I think we can put in the front diff housing. The trailer sounds like an awesome idea man.
1. id say you could get away with not havin gears if u had a supercharger 2. rack on roof 3. not a bad idea , go for it
I think your truck sooo sweet......4:88's will be good....no to the light rack and yes to the camper idea
Alright so it is understood that the roof rack idea isn't a good idea. I personally didn't think so but I wanted to toss it out there for discussion. Thanks for responses so far.
if you wanted more light for the rear do some auxillary lights mounted by the hitch. i know thats my plan, then i plan on mounting some on my toolbox off of both sides, then 4 for the front. all in due time though
