    just cuz its not running bad doesnt mean the cat is not bad it could easily be bad enough to trip the code but not bad enough to cause any driving effects the computer will run the code at certain times at certain temps and if it comes back positive so many times threw the tests it will trip a code it could just be a enough to trip it

    ok, well i cleared it so i will wait to see if it comes back and then go from there.

    is there any way to diagnose if my o2 sensor is bad?

    yeah if you have a big computer handset a shop has you could look at the voltage readings off of it and see if its jumping from high to slow instead of a steady curve high to low and so on

    hmm dont got one of those. i might just take it in to a shop and get them to test it

    whichever has cylinder one on it will be bank 1

    bank 1 is your drivers side. the cat can go bad and the truck will run normal, when the cat goes bad, sensor 2 sees the same thing as sensor one and throws a code. put a new cat on and youll be good.
