Ok first off, if yall gotta move this thread, thats ok, i just put it in here cuz i figure more people would see it, therefore i'd get more replies/answers. Anyway, my tips are startin to show some rust, and i'm kinda wanting to make them black anyway, so i'm wondering the process/ways to paint them black, and hopefully stay black. I'd even go as far as get the rhino-lining stuff if it'd be better and stay on since my tips are directly behind the tires and can catch some rocks. thanks for all replies

clean em real well, then take some rough sand paper to it, cover the areas you dont want to paint (like if theyre close to the vehicle, tape off the body/bumpers off so no paint gets on them), then use self etching primer, then use high heat temp black paint.

done. i did my tips that way and they look great!

Awesome. Now, i'm just gonna ask to ask, could i do the same steps, but use a bedliner material instead of the black paint?

yes...but im sure the tips will get hot....if they get hot enough it could "melt"? the paint off...thats why you use high heat. I also did the pipe all the way back up to my cutouts...I know all of it gets hot.

how bout this, you got paypal? ill send you the can i got..its got atleast 1/2-2/3 left..should be more than enough to do your tips..
