Does the airbag deploy through the top panel (bouncing off the windshield) or straight out of the front panel? (The one facing the seat)
Got an idea I'm working on...

^ya comes out straight to your face! :jester: :jester:

in mine it pops up...i know cuz i was trying to paint the panel and it wasnt popping off....found out you have to unbolt the airbag (which that panel is attached to the front) and all of the tabs on the bottom broke the top ones didnt so i would say the top ones are gonna stay.

^ ok, so you're saying it comes out the top panel, then ricochets off the windsheild, and saves your life. Thats what I thought happens, but couldn't find anything definitive.

what I'm thinking about is the panel that faces you doesn't have anything behind it, and is pretty large.... So you could probably fit a monitor in it!

I'd make sure, I'm thinking that whole piece has something to do with the bags deployment. Any custom work I've seen done to the dash area has required the owner to permanently disable or remove the passenger side airbag.

Imo it seems it would come out the front panel and I think you access it from the top to remove it

Yeah, its attached to the top panel, cuz it came out when I painted my interior... I don't want to mess with it right now, cuz I still have the stock front end. If I upgrade to a ranchhand or something later I might feel more comfortable disabling it.
