Ok, Im done with the gotts mod. Does not impress me. So I took the time to do countless research on Cais over the past week that will actually improve our performance plus more. btw all the cais I list are not open filters and I do not recommend the open design. This is why I done this to see the improvements. I called all the companys, read on all the forums. This is the cais that improved the performance of our trucks. Btw these cais will need custom tunes cause the 04-08 5.4 runs lean from factory.

If you guys have noticed i have not been posting as much as i was. heres the reason why: CAI that are actually CAIs!!

    1. S&B Features a sealed intake, goes in the fender and has a opening right behind the headlight for more cool air. which if some of you have read about the AF1 (air force 1) which was the best intake for our trucks but the company went under. Reason this cai is number one on my choice is because the power this intake produces for our trucks is right behind the af1. this is the cai i have decided to go with

    2. Volant, same style as the s&b but does not make as much power.

    3. Banks, same style as the other two. Reason third, it has a rediculas price. $400 while the other two are in the areas of 250.

    Now Custom tuners:

    PHP Gryphon

    SCT

    5 star

    vmp

    Troyer

For you 4x4 guys I looked up gears

    4.11 yukon

4.30 motive, yes I found a company that makes this set of gears for the 9.75 rear end. (2wds only)

    4.10 every company makes them.

    4.56 every company makes them

Now for some things to free up horse power:

    E-fans Troyer performance

Underdrive pullys with gator back belt from goodyear. Troyer performance

Exhaust: Do you like loud or deep?

Loud, Roush off road: actually borla exhaust so you know its quality

Deep, Banks good quality and a deep sound. I want deep

Other brands such as Magnaflow, corsa, borla, and etc are also good. Its whatever you enjoy and how you want your truck to sound. The ones i listed are what everyone is looking for.

    Exhaust coun..

    LT headers:

Obx, good quality and will increase performance

dynomax , good quality but expensive and will increase performance

    Highflow cats:

Magna flow makes a good set of high flow cats at a resonable price at performance peddler.com

    For single exit only

    Y pipe

If you do a single in single out or si/do go 3" tubing with a 3" y and for the duel exit go for 2.5 for a good sound.

    For true duel purposes only

    X or H:

which ever you want. Both will help with exhaust flow. H pipe will help with torque while x pipe will help with your hp. 2.5 piping.

Superchargers for the guys that want absolute performance.

Whipple s/c is the best you can get.

    Roush s/c is great aswell.

    4.6 2v guys

STS makes a turbo for you guys.

Also heard you can modify a mustang 4.6 2v s/c to fit your truck.

I done all this research for all the new guys to the forum that just got their 04-08 f150s. Also for the guys that are just getting around to make there trucks funner to drive. Hope you guys enjoy this cause my head hurts and sorry for the somewhat long thread. lol :peace:
