You do realize that the Raptor does not have a 5.4L engine? That's like comparing a GT500 to a regular GT. :jester:

Those cams that you have linked to would not be a good choice for a daily driver. They are designed for the upper rpm range and need a pretty good stall to run them.

Exactly, and the frpp cams were built by and designed by ford engineers for the 3v motors. You just have to swap the cams and play. Of course you won't get the full potential out of the cams because the rods in our engines are weak. If you want to rev your 5.4 past 5400 rpm be my guest. I wasn't born yesterday and I make sure to read up on these part before I even consider them. From what I read they felt a power difference in the 3500 rpm and through out the whole power band. I just got off the phone with gears performance and they said these trucks gain about 20rwhp up to 30rwhp from the cams. So I'm going for it. I'm not telling people to buy these parts, I am telling them what they can do for more hp.

I was gonna say the powerband for the 5.4s was pretty high but wasn't sure so I didn't wanna put false info out there

Maximum torque is just below 4k rpm and max hp is above, if I remember correctly. I don't see rpm's like that unless I am thrashing on mine.

I guess I just don't see the need for a cam swap that is geared for upper rpm range unless you are going to do more to the motor and then run it in that range.

    To each his own, though.
