SAS? Not sure what that means lol anyways the more I think about it the more I like the 2wd simplicity. Call me crazy(it's ok I already know haha) but if I'm going to get in someplace were I absolutly need 4x4 I might as go all the way and by a 6x6 M35A2. That's also on my project list.

Oh by the way I'm planing on putting a Detroit 6v53 in the pickup. To do 4x4 I would almost need Rockwell's because that motor is about 1800lbs. And yes I have heard of 12 valves but everyone swaps either those or the 4bt into their project, I want something different. Plus theres nothing like the sound of a screaming 2 stroke.

Told ya I was a little crazy haha

SAS is a Solid Axle Swap. I would stick with 2wd because it would be simpler and leave a lot more money for the motor mods.

A detroit would be insane, have you taken measurements to see if it will even fit?

I like the flatbed, duals with 22.5"s, and stacks so far :peace:

Oh I should have figured that out. I'm still wondering about the tanks myself so depending on how it looks I might also do a transfer flow tank in between the stacks. May run it on WVO/WMO too so that might add some more difficulty.

No I haven't taken measurements because I don't have the truck yet. But I have read a few build threads on various boards about guys swapping 6v53's into fords, plus theres a few videos on YouTube, so I know it can be done. But either way this project or something along the same lines will happen. Just got to get the right truck home first.

As far as a bio goes: I'm into anything with wheels, but it better be a stick shift if I'm driving. My father and I restored a 1970 Mach 1, I have a dd 2000 v6 mustang, and I also have a 2004 fully built and moded procharged GT.
And I'm ready for a truck! Do I need one? No, not really, I just want something other than a car, and I need a new project.

Yes indeed, same name. I'm on a number of car, truck, and firearm forums all with the same name.
