That's still an 11" wide tire. Plenty of meat.

If I had paid more attention to tread depth when I bought mine, I would have opted for another size. The size that I bought has 20% less tread straight out of the gate than the next size up or down. :suicide:

I think that's why some people get a lot more miles out of them than others do. Their tread depth is all over the map pending size.

i noticed that too and it was my deciding factor for settling for a 275 series over a 285 or 305. this had a tread of 16/32, where as most other tires i looked at in other sizes, were 14/32.

I love the new ride feel. Man were those old Mickey Thompson riding ROUGH compared to these. makes me love the truck all over again. dont even notice the 1/2" height difference, but I can feel the 11" tire vs the 12.5". The road resistance is much less, truck coasts better. Thanks to all who pointed me in the direction of the Nitto Terra Graps. Hope you guys like the look.

And yes, i'm painting the rims the first dry day we have (rain scheduled for the next few days).

Looks good but you should ditch the flares with the skinnier tire

Those flares are a little excessive now... How much total lift are you running?
