Thank you dudes! I don't think the tires runs frame when I turn full lock now, kinda nice. I'll have to check for sure today.

I agree. POR15 is for corrosion resistance or treatment, use a dedicated sound deadener for sound insulation. I've never heard of Dragonskin but I know Dynamat Xtreme and Second Skin are two manufacturers that have a very large following for sound insulation.

I hear you brother, I don't even have $1,500 to spend on replacing my cam phasers, let alone wheels and tires! Everybody here makin' bank 'cept for me brother!

ive been noticing lately when I put the truck into reverse and hit the pedal ive got a loud pop, it feels like its coming from up front. rolled around on the ground a little bit last night to see if I could find anything out.

anyone have a similar problem? I have no noise when the truck is in drive.

Sounds like you need a new tranny!! :jester:

No but really, whens the last time your u joints were replaced? Is it squeaking at all? A lot of times it will pop loudly or clunk when you shift to different gears when they go bad.

since ive owned the truck I haven't replaced the U joints, that's what my first though was. driveline is pretty solid though, no movement. it couldn't be anything else though.

Got no clue what the noise could be. Only happens in reverse. Checked driveshaft for play, none at the u joints just at the transfercase and rear diff. The noise sounds and feels like it's coming from the front of the truck, not the rear.

These problems are so hard to fix without driving the truck. I still say u joints if its a clunk.

U joints are only like 10-15 bucks or so and it probably needs to be done soon anyways. If you got the extra $30 it won't hurt anything.
