    i gave 1200 for it and i got that much more in it...its been all but rebuilt

    that ain't a bad price at all. i bought my '02 with 62k miles or so on it for 16k out the door. check that thing out good, if everything works and if its in good shape go for it man.

    Ok so I found this truck the other day and I've talked to the guy. Turns out my dad went out that way this weekend so he's gonna go have a look at it.

    It has the 4.6 and this guy has owned it since 40000km and his dad had it before that on lease. It needs new tires (and therefore it needs rims too :jester:) so after dad looks at it he might try and make a deal. I won't have any money till the end of next week but if the guy is ok with that I may have found the new unit I'm after. What do y'all think?

    IMO ive driven both 5.4 and 4.6 the 4.6 was newer, lesser miles and just didnt have the pep the 5.4 has...I would pay for the gas no problem

    Gas isn't an issue (I've driven them both too) Its a nice truck though and its one that would be practical as well as fun w/ the 4x. I'd like a 5.4 but I honestly don't mind my bros 4.6 so.
