I know they media blast the part to prep it for the paint. But my rear bumper seems to have the start of surface rust over it in various places. After the media blast and everything should they still be able to powder coat it with no issues? I've got a good deal thru the shop my dad works at (one of their affiliates), so i will be going this path, if its even doable. Just havent had time to contact them about the rust issue. Even tho the bumper is still very solid

As long as the rust is just surface rust you won't have an issue

You should be all set. They'll have the rust gone quick with a media blaster
