I just finished hooking my tow mirrors up yesterday. The one problem I had was finding which wire is hot when the doors are unlocked. My chilton said black/blue, but that didn't work. Has anyone else done this? I have an 07 with the 5.4

I have a 07 and when I hooked up my tow mirrors, the puddles worked already, but the turn signals didnt! I thought it would be the other way around. I did pull the puddle lights out and drop some leds in them :peace:

Any of those run past the doors? My chilton only goes up to 06... It's not a big deal, I'm much happier to have my heat and signals work :peace:

If i remember correctly, you should be able to tap into the light switch.Look for a brown wire as thats always positive.Thats what i used for when i installed my mirror housing lights.

Why don't you just tap the Reverse wire so that they come on when you are in reverse (aids in backing up i promise) and then they will also come on after you get out the truck. I thought my write up covered all this?
