I have a 2010 f150 with rear window defroster and electric slider. Last week I was standing outside my truck with the defroster on and I heard a pop the rear glass on the passenger side just shattered. Had it replaced and the glass people told me ford had a problem with these. When we got the new window from ford the directions said to rewire it different and not to just plug in.So they must know something was wrong. Would like to know if anyone else has had this problem.I have seen a couple more with duct tape on them. If its fords fault I sure would like my $100.00 deductible back for something that wasn't my fault

I havent heard anything, but push the issue with your local Ford dealer. They may be able to do something for you and others who have/had the problem.

This happened to me on a old 86 Lincoln Continental that I had. I put the rear defrost on, was driving home at like 2am and bam the window blow out of the car. Scared the heck out of me.
