    I was kinda thinking the same thing. I wonder if they would give me the new ones. I need to replace the fuel pump and have to drop the tank anyway...

    My gas tank is held on my a ratchet strap.... Isnt everybodys???

    Mine still looked like new when I dropped the tank late last year to replace the fuel pump. I'll pass on this recall. :birgits_tiredcoffee

    haha where was this last year, my cousin was towing a camper with my uncle's 01 screw and the gas tank literally fell off in the parking lot and started spilling gas. Ended up having to ghetto rig it and lost half a tank

    I'm thinking it was stories like your uncle's that caused the recall. I'm sure there were several cases that sparked the concern for a recall.

    I'm guessing that this effects northern trucks more so then southern trucks. :birgits_tiredcoffee
