Remote Start

    Ok guys is there a way to find out if my truck has factory remote start other then the fob. I bought the truck used and I'm not 100% the one fob I got is orginal. I mean when I got the truck the guy traded it in with only one half of the bed extender too.

    picture of remote? can you see a remote start unit under the dash?

    Under the dash spelunking,
    look for an add on T-harness at the
    main ignition wiring connector,
    bottom side of the steering
    shaft.

    I found out a used truck I bought had an alarm system the hard way........

    When my truck wouldn't start and I noticed a relay clicking, that was just the right timing for a horn going off.

    Didn't receive any remote for it when I bought the truck, so I unhooked and removed the alarm unit, and used the wire taps to hook up a cb radio, and an FD light bar on the roof.
