Hey guys. My dad wants a remote starter for his 2012 for xmas. Ive been hearing about some sort of plug and play system for the newer trucks. Do y'all know anything about them?
$184 plus shipping? Sounds like a spin off of the older T-harness connections. Great if it was only a couple connections, maybe these connections are for factory line workers to use but remote start wasn't and add on to the build sheet. 2011-2013 Ford F-150 Remote Start Plug & Play
Joe do you know if this something.that a dealer has to install? Since it comes with new keys do they need to be flashed or anything? Now that I'm thinking about it I may go this route if it really is that quick and easy to install as long as we don't have to pay a dealer to install it.
I have a Clifford alarm/ remote start and that works with the viper GPS/ alarm 2 way box. My point is if you go with a after market it can be expanded down the road. Sent from my iPad Mini
Doesn't say dealer installation required. Does say made by Ford and retains factory warranty. I never knew putting on an aftermarket alarm system could void the manufacturer's factory warranty. Programming the alarm's keys should be in the owner's manual or online somewhere.
